2006 Water and Restoration Conference
North Slope Hydrology and Water Use Special Session

Planning Information

Time Period: 9:00 am Monday, January 23 to 12 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2006

Session Objectives: Provide a thorough overview of North Slope hydrology, water resources, and water use. Improve the understanding of key index watersheds and data collection efforts, and their application to current and future water and resource management issues.

Successful Outcomes: Improved understanding of the current and near-future state of knowledge, what is needed in the future, continued improvements in collaborative efforts to improve North Slope scientific understanding and management. of water resources; and improving the methods to balance sustainable development with ecosystem preservation.

Each Speaker is requested to provide an Extended Abstract with figures for publication on the Alaska Section website. A short presenter biography for introductions is also requested. Talks will be 30 minutes each including questions

Below speaker information lists presenting speakers in bold, and partial authorship.
