Tour of Janssen Pharmaceutica in Titusville

On April 29th, the NJ-AWRA will have a field tour of Janssen Pharmaceutica in Titusville (Hopewell Township).  We will have a sit down class first and then take a stroll to see the campus. This will be a "fun" event, but will give everyone an overview of smart corporate campus management and growth.  We have limited the tour to about 30 people (requested by Janssen).  Janssen not only has a Silver LEED-EB certification (in the pilot program): they are in the River Friendly program administered by Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, and have a 20 year master plan that goes beyond the new stormwater rules.  A real case study for a business campus. We will feature water resources, water conservation, water management etc.  But we will review the complete Green Building concept (PV cells on the roof: At the time of installation, the system was the largest commercial installation in NJ and the third largest in the US).  To attend, email John A. Miller jmiller@princetonhydro.com
Preliminary Agenda:
12:30 Arrive, light refreshments
1:00 Welcome and introductions; NJ-AWRA
1:05 Green Building, LEED-EB; Nick Stecky, NJ-USGBC
1:25 River Friendly program; Amy Weaver, SBMWA and Kathy Hale, NJWSA
1:35 Master Planning, LEED certification considerations and water resources; Stuart Appel, Wells Appel Land Strategies
2:00 Field Tour; John Subacus, Janssen (with speakers to answer questions along the way)
4:00 Return to classroom for round table and final questions
4:30 Event end
