AMERICAN WATER RESOURCES ASSOCIATION UTAH SECTION invites you to attend our annual luncheon on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the Natural Resources Building Auditorium, 1594 W. North Temple, SLC, UT.
Please join us for a lunchtime presentation regarding the Utah Executive Water Task Force and the Water Development Commission and legislation each has recommended for the upcoming legislative session. The list includes many pressing water issues such as canal safety concerns stemming from the tragedy in Logan earlier this year, the domestic water right preference in times of scarcity, the State Engineer's authority to assess historic use in change application proceedings, authorizing water management authorities to facilitate water banking in Utah. With budget cuts anticipated, the presentation will also address the potential impact of these cuts on legislation and on existing water programs.
